Interior Designers in Denver CO Redesign Aspen Ski In/Out House

The owners of a 1980’s ski in/out slope side house in Aspen CO decided their home needed a makeover, so they looked at interior designers in Denver CO and Runa Novak, an award winning designer from In Your Space interior design.

Before

  • The exterior stone was in good shape overall, but needed some work as well as cleaning
  • The brown accent for the windows and the doors dated the house
  • The exterior landscape needed work
  • There was a hot tub in an odd location and the miniature house you can see in the ‘before’ photograph is where the mechanical for the hot tub was housed
  • The property looked very unkempt
  • The exterior stone was cleaned and areas repaired as required
  • The 80’s windows were replaced with floor to ceiling storefront windows with black frames
  • Runa replaced the stained glass window that ran between two floors along the staircase with clear glass
  • She replaced the doors in the patio with Weiland stacking sliding doors, so they could be opened completely
  • The lower level windows and all the trim on the house were painted black
  • Some of the overgrown trees were cut down so that the slopes would be more visible and the house looked more kempt
  • The hot tub was relocated to the new exterior patio to the left of the house
  • Main floor – Replaced and expanded the deck and added custom black powder coated metal railing
